  Re-Solv's training course is FREE of charge and open to a range of people who are concerned about VSA:

• Professionals including:
  • Children’s Services
  • Police and Police Community Support Officers
  • Health
  • Connexions
  • Housing officers
  • Youth Offending Team
  • Voluntary organisation/young people’s services.

• Course List & Further Information
  

  This course will take about 3-4 hours to complete. Upon completion, and gaining a satisfactory mark, you will be able to save and print out a certificate.

  You will first be required to enrol and register. Register here.

  The course includes a number of elements:

  • training documents which can be read on line or downloaded, printed and read at your own speed;
  • a series of assignments to work through;
  • online tests;
  • surveys;
  • case studies.

There are a number of additional features which you can call upon at any point in the course. These are:

• answer feedback, explaining the reasons behind the correct answer;
• glossary;
• references;
• other relevant contact points.

When you have completed each element of the course you simply press the submit button. Your answers will be automatically marked and a score sheet provided.

• Technical Specifications & Requirements

  The training website works best on a recent release of Internet Explorer or Netscape. It has no other particular requirements. If you have any technical problems or would like to report a fault please email Re-Solv.  

  The course requires no additional add on or plug in components to work.

  The documents are available in the following formats:

	Text documents (.txt)	Can be viewed in notepad, or in almost any word processing programme. This does not include any formatting or graphics
	Microsoft Word documents (.doc)	Can also be imported into many word processing programmes although this may affect the formatting of the page. A freeware word viewer is available for people who do not own Microsoft Word	Download Microsoft word viewer
	Acrobat documents (.pdf)	Need acrobat reader to view. Acrobat reader is free of charge and operates within your web browser.	Download Acrobat Reader
