Welcome to Re-Solv Stoke
Here in Stoke-on-Trent, as in most cities across the country, the relatively low cost and easy accessibility of ‘legal highs’ – officially known as New Psychoactive Substances (‘NPS’) – means that there is an urgent need to raise awareness of these substances amongst young people and those who work with them or care for them.
The 2016 Psychoactive Substances Act makes it illegal to import, produce, sell or supply ‘legal highs’, but they are still legal to possess for personal use. So we are bringing the Stoke-on-Trent community together to develop and put in place our own local strategies for tackling ‘legal highs’.
Our conversations with local parents have resulted in our handy guide, 10 top tips for talking with your child about legal highs – just click to view the guide here.
If you are a parent or carer, a professional working with young people, or a community group interested in increasing your knowledge about ‘legal highs’ (NPS), we can answer all your questions and concerns. We offer:
- community group talks
- parent/carer information sessions
- school sessions
- professional training
- drop-in community events
And, thanks to Big Lottery funding, all of our sessions are free.
