Re-Solv was founded in 1984 by Barrie Liss OBE JP, and remains the ONLY national charity solely dedicated to the prevention of solvent and volatile substance abuse (VSA).  As a Director of Evode, Mr Liss was concerned about the problem of solvent abuse and determined to do something about it.  Hence Re-Solv, The Society for the Prevention of Solvent and Volatile Substance Abuse was founded as an independent charity, which provides a voice for its 350 members and a platform for effective action.
